Have Antenna, Will Travel

December 17, 2010

Though I’ve been in this networking industry for 25 years,  the last 9 years has been full of interesting assignments in unique places.

I’ve been at the face of an underground coal mine, in the bowls of a pharmaceutical lab, behind the scenes of large sporting events, and even out at sea on a state of the art ship. I’ve also worn my share of jumpsuits, bunny suits, and breathing apparatus. All because of wireless!

I’m betting that I’m not alone in these interesting assignments, so I thought that I would put a poll out there that asks you to tell me where your most unique or interesting assignments.

Don’t forget to leave your name, or handle, so we know who you are! I’ll post some of the most unique assignments on blog after the holidays.

  1. Surveying the place that makes the Atlas/Delta rockets. Now *that* was cool. Also, cruise ship work – that wasn’t so fun. Everyone around me was in party mode and I was working. 😦 No such things as weekends on a ship!
